3D Print Design Virtual Course
Tuesdays in May, 7-8pm, for students in grades 4-7
Available spots
Course Description
Learn the skills to design and engineer your own 3D printed creations! This interactive and empowering class teaches children the ins and outs of designing in TinkerCAD and the engineering measurement and design skills, as they create custom keychains, marble mazes, and creative magnets. Each hour class will teach design and software skills, demonstrate the process of 3D printing, and provide tailored student guidance for their individual projects. Children will learn from their design mistakes, receive supportive feedback, and refine their designs as they engage authentically in the learning and engineering process. Students will finish with 3 projects they get to keep. Projects will be printed by the instructor and available for local pickup or shipment. Class meets live on Zoom on Tuesdays 7-8pm in May (5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26). Students may need about an hour of independent time outside of class each week to work on and complete their 3 projects.
